Craig Scott

Craig Scott is the firm's chief executive officer, with responsibility for setting the vision and strategy of the firm and running the operations of the business. As CEO, Craig’s focus is on our clients, our strategy and our people. He is a qualified corporate and private equity lawyer and former leader of the firm's Business Services Group. Craig graduated in law from Sheffield University (LLB Hons) and attended Chester College of Law.

Details

Craig joined the firm in 2010 having previously worked at two other large international law firms. He has practised as a lawyer for more than 26 years, specialising in corporate transactional work for corporates, management teams and private equity houses before becoming chief executive officer in May 2024.

Craig was formerly national head of Hill Dickinson’s Corporate team and, from 2021 to April 2024, head of Hill Dickinson’s largest division, the Business Services Group, incorporating teams such as Corporate and Banking, Real Estate and Construction, Commercial Litigation and related contentious law services and Employment and Pensions.

Craig was one of the first solicitors in the North West to hold the corporate finance qualification from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

    • Acting for Next Wave Partners on the sale of Fox International Group to Mayfair Private Equity and co-investment terms for Next Wave
    • Advising Mercia and Enterprise Ventures Growth II on the MBO’s of Parkcloud Total Resources (UK) and Quick Reach Powered Access
    • Advising Dorma Deutschland GmbH in connection with the corporate purchases of Ascot Doors, Aluspec and ADRS Solutions by their UK group
    • Advising management in respect of the SBO of Fishawack backed by significant investment from Bridgepoint Europe VI, a €1.57 billon middle market buyout fund and securing the exit of Fishawack’s prior PE investor, LDC.
    • Advising Next Wave Partners and Delivery Group on the sale of P2P mailing to FedEx for £92 million and subsequent group MBO for £116 million
    • Advising on the merger of Secured Mail and CMS (London) Limited to create the £200 million+ t/o The Delivery Group Limited
    • Acting for Fishawack Group on its acquisition of California based Carling Communications and seven other UK and US based corporate transactions including the Hive Health Group and PRMA Consulting.
    • Advising Downing Student Trust in connection with the £193 million sale of eight Guernsey Unit trusts to a fund managed by HSBC Alternative Investments Limited
